Di Bou, Taiwan – Master Plan

This project involved master planning, site planning and schematic design for a 3-phase housing development in a former industrial area in Di Bou Taiwan. The development was designed in relation to hot weather, humidity and abundant rainfalls which characterize the climate there. Sun shading devices such as canopies, deep overhangs and trees, shelter and protect the inhabitants in open spaces. The design concept involved a high density housing community with the introduction of shared green space into everyday life which is essentially a new conceptual idea and typology for living in Taiwan.
