Embury Aluminum Manufacturing Facility

Embury Company is an Aluminum Manufacturing facility specializing in the development and production of aluminum building systems. Growing operational requirements and the preference for more centralized production facilities led to the acquisition of new warehouse and office space for the plant. The project required alterations and additions to an existing Industrial Building with an area of 55,900 square feet.

The renovated front office includes, reception, offices, library, meeting rooms, data closets and ancillary support spaces. An upgraded and enlarged mezzanine supports a new kitchen and office functions with support space and washrooms below. Detail design and material selection were cognisant of the heavy industrial abrasiveness of the activities that occur within the plant.

This project required the exercise of strict Budget Controls through the Contract Administration phase of work to overcome difficult challenges presented by hidden combustible building elements and sub standard construction of the existing building. Van Elslander + Associates Architects were Prime Consultant to the project and provided full Professional Services. Sub-consultants included Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
